Suno prompts for Melodic Trap.
Sung hooks over 808s and open space
Figures are aggregated from 20 melodic trap blueprints built with Suno Prompt Machine. Musical values only — nothing identifying anyone who made them. The Hip-Hop & Trap Blueprint Pack collects finished blueprints in this territory.
Melodic trap keeps trap's rhythm section but hands the song to a sung, usually auto-tuned hook. That changes what the prompt needs: one clear melodic instrument, a sliding 808 that follows the vocal harmony rather than fighting it, and a great deal of empty space. The tempo range is wide because many tracks are written half-time — say which feel you want. Suno will crowd the mid-range with pads unless you ask for a single melodic layer.
The key insight: Limit yourself to one melodic element and make the 808 follow the chord movement. "Sliding 808 tracking the chord changes under a single plucked lead" is the whole architecture.

Prompting tips for melodic trap
One melodic layer only — pluck, bell or guitar. Two competing leads is the usual failure.
State "half-time feel" so Suno does not double the perceived tempo.
Density 55–80: a sung hook plus two verses, with space left between phrases.
